Mary Lou Boughton, a lifelong Kalamazoo resident, has dedicated her life to youth development. She volunteered as a teacher and youth leader before becoming the director of Youth United Way, the Kalamazoo Youth Development Network, and Great Lakes PeaceJam. Her work connects youth programs and brings Nobel Peace Laureates’ initiatives to local schools. Her goal is for every young person in Kalamazoo to feel valued and have opportunities to grow.
